Our New Entry Foyer Design

It's Sunday and I have so much work that needs to be done, and all I have accomplished is redesigning and selecting awesome pieces for our Entryway, and now blogging. I simply justify it knowing that every little change to our place is so refreshing, and Houston enjoys it just as much as I do. In fact, he has started giving me his opinion, without me asking, and I love it!

I did something, I don't normally do, and that's purchase a rug with color! This sunshine yellow makes me happy, and it is so fun, yet still serene enough to match our other two existing rugs! (Sidenote: In our bedroom, I took advantage of a sale last month and purchased an 8' x 10' sisal rug for our Master Bedroom, and we love it!)

It's a thicker rug, and soft for a sisal! Since I am in the office all day, I really reap the benefits of good finds like this that enhance the aesthetics for our space.

This antique Gustavian console was the inspiration for the new space. Something light, narrow, and architecturally interesting to style with some of my favorite finds! Such as the oyster shell sconces below to go on either side of a custom framed mirror!

The above picture was another driving inspiration as we are so limited with storage and space. I look forward to incorporating a large woven basket we currently own, and this adorable slate garden stool that I plan to pull into the Living Room when additional seating is needed!

The color of this material brings out the border details in the 2' x 7'6" runner.

And the large woven basket we currently own, will be perfect for our tennis shoes and go to sandals for our errands around Old Town. (Snow boots in the Winter!)

The best thing about this great find, is that it only cost $57 with a luxury rug pad! The runner is 100% polypropylene giving us the comfort of durability and longevity for the days we track in dirt and snow! I look forward to taking completed pictures and  continuing to feature our updates in our Old Town abode! XOXO
